Environmental Management System – EMS according to ISO 14001
An EMS – Environmental Management System according to ISO 14001 standards can be implemented in any business that has the environment at heart.
When a company respects standards imposed by an EMS, it is not uncommon to see insurance premiums decrease for occupational health and safety as well as premiums for a company’s property insurance.
An EMS must identify environmental risks and manage them in order to prevent them.
An environmental risk can be as simple as recoverable products (paper, cardboard, packaging, etc.), dangerous goods (adhesives, resins, solvents, methanol, acids, etc.) or even the production process that may transform certain products into dangerous goods.
